Stephen Ministry is a lay empowered ministry that provides parishioners with the skills necessary to visit with and be present to those going through a period of crisis. It is a way for us as a community of faith to reach out and extend our care giving in a one to one compassionate way. The training is extensive and the ongoing supervision and education is vital.

Our Stephen Ministers support those who are going through difficult times. These include but are not limited to visiting the sick and homebound, the dying and the grieving, divorced and separated, victims of natural disasters or those in spiritual or financial crisis, those who are unemployed or need to relocate, single parents, first time parents, or empty nest parents, couples who cannot become pregnant, those who are aging or preparing to retire, families and individuals dealing with addictions or depression, parents experiencing a difficult relationship with their child.

If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister or would like to avail yourself of these services please contact one of the ministry chairpersons. We would be happy to assist you.
