Mass Greeters Ministry

Greeters are individuals or couples who welcome Parishioners and Visitors as they enter Church for Mass each weekend. The source for this practice lies in our responsibility to be hospitable and courteous to people when they come to Church, to treat them as Christ, and to practice spiritual works of mercy.

It is the task of Greeters, by a smile and a kind word of welcome, to prepare these people to share in the Mass more tranquilly and reflectively. Those who participate in this ministry arrive at church at least 15 minutes before their assigned mass is scheduled to begin and stand near the door and greet those entering. Scheduling of masses can usually be arranged at the convenience of the Greeters. New Greeters are always welcomed!
