Men's Prayer Group"...could you not watch with me one hour?" - Matthew 26:40
The Sacred Heart Church Men’s Prayer Group gathers on Monday mornings around the Blessed Sacrament in the church for prayer and fellowship. All men in the parish, young and old, are invited to participate in this ministry.

In a special way, we pray for the needs of our families, our parish, our community, our country, and our world. Although our format is open, we generally start by saying the Holy Rosary followed by a Chaplet of The Divine Mercy. After this, we pause for a few minutes of silent prayer. As time permits, we may occasionally read through the past Sunday readings followed by a group discussion. Men’s Prayer Group meetings are open to all—especially those who may not have had an active prayer life in the past. Don’t worry or be intimidated if you haven't said a rosary in many years, or have never even heard of the Chaplet—we'll be happy to guide you along. Our meeting times are on Mondays from 6 to 7 a.m. Why so early? Because this is a time when all is calm and quiet, and fathers can step out before the children awake. It’s a wonderful way to start the week before getting caught up in the stress of work. Please note that although our meeting time is every Monday from 6 to 7 a.m., attendance may be sporadic due to business travel or vacations. Cancellation notices are posted on the parish web site at: www.sacredheartchurch.info/mensprayergroup.html by 9 p.m. on Sunday evenings. Click here to return to the Ministry Opportunities page
