On Sunday, August 23, 2009 the parish welcomed all young adults to a special Mass of Sending. The Mass and gathering are intended to strengthen those attending as they go forth on the next chapter of their lives, whether to continue their education, employment, military, or whatever the future may hold.
Fr. Joe welcomed all those attending, reminding them that their connection to Sacred Heart Parish will always be there to help them through whatever the future brings.
Leaders of song Chelsea and Joey lead the gathering in praising God in word and song.
Our wonderful organist Patty was there with keyboard to help add to the service.

At the end of Mass, there was a presentation about Campus Ministry, and the importance of staying in touch with your faith while away from the home parish.
And after the Mass, an opportunity to enjoy some good food from Senior Pancho's.
Visiting with friends is always a good way to end the day. Especially if they haven't been seen for a while, or may not be seen for a while.
