Blessing of the Sick

and for those who need strength and healing from the impact of the coronavirus.

This Sunday, April 19th, is Divine Mercy Sunday. We will celebrate this Mass online at shcsouthbury.online.church at 9 am. Our tradition has been to celebrate the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick during this liturgy. As part of the Mass, members with any physical illness or surgery, mental illness, and addictions come forth to celebrate the sacrament. Since we cannot do that physically this year, we invite members to submit names in the chat box during Mass. In addition, we will include those serving and working on the frontlines of this pandemic; those suffering with the illness or having difficulty coping with this crisis, or any other needs that you would like prayed for in this intentional way. Fr. Joe will ask you to submit names at a designated time. Please feel free to use nicknames, initials or full names as you choose. Let’s anoint one another with the healing prayer of the Church as members will know the support of our merciful God and faith community.
