Formerly Southbury Interfaith Social Concerns Committee

The Southbury Faith In Action Committee is open to representatives from each of the faith communities in Southbury. The purpose of the committee is to reach out to those people in the area in need of assistance, and offer what aid is available. Throughout the year, various educational offerings are presented on such topics as end of life decisions, health care, environmental concerns, and other topics of interest to the community at large.

An major annual event is the HomeFront Project in May.

HomeFront - One day is set aside in May to help restore a local resident’s home to a warm, safe, and dry condition. Volunteers from all faith communities in town are welcome to work on one day toward that goal. All levels of skills are needed, and it is a wonderful opportunity to meet your neighbors and help each other. Young and old, skilled and unskilled, work side-by-side on HomeFront Day.
